YELVERTON Ladies' Open Group recently enjoyed an entertaining talk by Janet Sellick, a member of the prestigious Guild for Blue Badge Tourist Guides. 

All guild members hold the coveted blue badge, the national standard guiding qualification and internationally recognised benchmark of excellence, involving a rigorous training, detailed and constantly updated knowledge of local areas and often considerable linguistic ability. 

The next meeting, a talk by Surgeon Captain Andy Burgess on Medical Services at Camp Bastion, will take place in Yelverton War Memorial Hall on Thursday, December 2 at 7.45 pm.
