A FIRE which ripped through a garage at a property in Sydenham Damerel on January 1 is being treated as suspicious. The fire occurred at 8.45pm and firefighters from Tavistock were at the scene for more than five hours. Fire station officer Tim Smith said the garage, which contained gas cylinders and timber, was gutted by the blaze. He said a fire investigation team had been called in.
