FIRECREWS from Tavistock and Okehampton were called to Bridestowe last Wednesday, to deal with a barn fire.

The crews used three hosereel jets to deal with the blaze at the barn, which contained some 70 tonnes of hay and straw. A water bowser from Plympton was also called to assist.

The incident happened at around 5pm.
