TAVISTOCK Ladies' unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday when Lyme Regis proved themselves to be the stronger side with hard tackling and precision passing.
Shortly before half-time a bad misjudgement from the Tavistock keeper saw Lyme go one up. The second half saw them break through the Tavistock defence continuously and Tavistock could not find the form they needed to win.
The second goal came from a free kick which hit the roof of the net and two more followed with the strikers breaking through and finishing superbly.
Tavistock had a consolation goal when Kirsty Jones was brought down twice in the penalty box and Donna Burch slotted it calmly into the net.
Julie McGowan who played as sweeper and midfield had an outstanding game.
