Methodist minister Jeff Moles was left speechless by a surprise birthday party last Sunday. Around 150 people packed the hall of Tavistock Methodist Church after the morning service, bursting into song as Mr Moles was ushered in by his wife, Liz. The secret had been kept as word was passed around Tavistock and out to the village chapels which he also oversees. Party-goers, ranging from toddlers to great-grandparents, enjoyed a buffet and birthday cakes. And the age? ? two ?30? balloons were presented . . .
