ON January 4 I had a birthday party. To help me celebrate I invited friends for a buffet lunch; sadly a few were poorly and unable to attend, but I have nothing but praise for the ones that came, and between us, we have donated £100 to St Luke's nurses in memory of a good friend who sadly lost her fight with cancer last December aged 64.
