THERE were cute canines galore at Tavistock Pet Emportium last weekend, for resident shop dog Maggie's first birthday celebration.

Owners Debbie Walsh and Neil Worth threw Labrador Maggie a birthday party in the shop on Saturday and regular customers brought their companions to join in the festivities.

Debbie said: 'We had so much fun. There were about 10 dogs that came in and various children and they all had a lovely time playing together.

Some of the children had made Maggie a card and a present.'

Debbie also had a handmade doggy birthday cake made for Maggie and her friends to enjoy.
