DJM U11s Mayflower Cup round I

Tavistock Thistles 4

St Cleer Youth 3

THIS match saw two well balanced teams providing their supporters with a thrilling contest that was not resolved until the final whistle.

St Cleer scored first, stiffening the resolve of Thistles forwards Taylor McCormack and Ben Pridham.

Thistles came out roaring in the second half and Ben Pridham scored to bring the score even.

Substitutes James Northey and Ross Seward gave fresh energy to the team and enabled a spectacular last-minute goal from debutant Taylor

McCormack to put Thistles through to the second round. Birthday boy Phillip Snell was man of the match following another spectacular game where he made some excellent saves.
