Horrabridge Rangers 6

Efford Youth 1

GOOD saves early on by the visiting goalkeeper denied Birch, Fry and Rawlinson.

The home side opened the scoring after 20 minutes when Max Burgess's clever through-ball was met by Alex Madar who drilled the ball past the advancing keeper.

Horrabridge doubled their tally five minutes later when this time Will Glanville played in Max Burgess who cleverly beat the keeper from 12 yards. Efford then grabbed a goal back courtesy of a header from a long throw-in.

The home side then scored two goals in three minutes when Josh Birch chased down a loose ball to nip the ball past both keeper and defender and into the open goal; minutes later Birch used his strength and pace well to lay the ball back for Billy Rawlinson who drilled the ball home from 16 yards.

Horrabridge Rangers dominated play for most of the second half and Efford were again grateful to their goalkeeper Martin Jordan who made many a fine save during the half to deny the home side.

Josh Birch scored a further two goals in the half to collect his hat-trick.

Player of the match was Josh Birch.
