A TAVISTOCK mother is appealing for information regarding her son's bike which went missing last week.

Emma Kirby is asking members of the public if anyone has come across a 'Haro' blue BMX bike.

She said: 'My son Christopher, who has special needs, locked his bike outside the Alexander Centre on Plymouth Road on Friday, May 18 from 7.30pm to 9am on the Saturday.

'Christopher was on his way to go caving with his local scout group, locked his bike, but because it was too late to ride back home a leader from the scout group gave him a lift home.

'He thought the bike would still be there in the morning but it was gone. So as you can imagine my son was devastated.'

Emma said she has informed the police but wants to appeal to the public who may know of its whereabouts.

Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the bike is asked to contact Tavistock Police Station on 101 quoting crime reference number JT/12/611.
