AN exhibition of paintings by Penzance-based artist Chris Cooper goes on show at the Big Wide Bay gallery in Tavistock's Market Street today (Thursday).
Trademarks of the artist's style are rich use of colour, attention to detail and eye-catching compositions, using acrylics, oil and watercolour in his landscapes and coastal views.
Chris trained at St Martin's School of Art in London and has lived in Penzance since 1998. His work has been exhibited at many venues in England including London's Guildhall and Oxford Central Library, and at Harvest Arts in Amsterdam.
The Big Picture exhibition runs until Monday May 7. The Big Wide Bay Gallery is open 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday, 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday. On Easter Monday and May Day bank holiday the opening hours are 10.30am until 1.30pm. Admission is free.
