THERE was a good turnout at Callington Town Hall for the annual Callington Lions’ Club challenge night.

A variety of ages were present, from the two scout groups taking part, through to older teams from St Mary’s Church, Saltash Lions, the Methodist Chapel and Callington Bowling Club.

Games included table tennis, golf, Connect 4, Jenga and a quiz. The Methodists team’s previous winning streak was broken by the Saltash Lions. Callington Scouts and St Mary’s Church came a close second.

Callington Lions’ president Karen Toft said it was one of the best and well supported challenge nights and thanked all the teams for making it fun and the Lions’ members for their assistance. The money raised will go to charities supported by the Lions.
