MEAVY Parish Hall will be filled with the sound of Punjab, as Bhangra band 'RSVP' hits the stage next week.
Sheepstor Villages in Action have joined forces with Meavy to host the band on Friday, October 11, at 7.30pm.
RSVP has played to giant Glastonbury crowds for five years in a row and has also wowed at Womad. The enchanting, foot-tapping style of music and song is guaranteed to have the whole audience on its feet from the start.
There will be a licensed bar on the night, courtesy of the Royal Oak landlord, who will also be offering a selection of Punjabi dishes at the interval. There will also be a raffle held on the night.
Tickets, at £9 per person, are available from Robert on 01822 855523. Profits from the evening are being divided between Villages in Action, Meavy Parish Hall and Friends of St Leonard's Church, Sheepstor.
Ticket numbers are finite and are selling fast so book early to avoid disappointment.
