I WISH to warn the public to beware of fraudsters in Tavistock.

On Saturday, September 26, there were two Eastern Europeans busking outside Superdrug, taking turns playing an accordion.

They were also selling CD’s supposedly of the accordion music, for £10 each.

I duly bought one as a treat for my birthday. When I got it home and opened it, it turned out it was a Tesco CD, which turned out to be blank, I was not amused!

I don’t know if the council gave them permission to be there but if they did, they should have been checked out first. I wasn’t the only one conned that day.

So now if I see a busker I will give them a very wide berth.
