YOUNG people with complex physical needs took a trip to Princetown recently to take part in the annual Dartmoor Challenge Charity Walk.

The walk was held to raise funds for two charities, Holiday for Heroes Jersey and the Barchester Foundation.

Most of the young people that took part are residents at various Barchester care homes and were joined by staff, friends and relatives on the specialised walk designed for young people with disabilities.

The day was deemed a success and the Barchester group received phenomenal support from many of the locals in Princetown who supported them in various ways from the catering and hospitality at the Prince of Wales pub, to the 29 Commando Regiment who supervised the walks and encouraged everyone to achieve their goals in a safe environment.
