Bere Alston Reserves 4

Week St Mary 0

WEEK St Mary started the better with them aiming to finish the season with a win and came close when a great 30 yard effort hit the crossbar.

Bere keeper Rawlings pulled off a couple good saves to keep the score 0-0.  The home side started to play some great passing football as long balls would be no good in the windy conditions. Westlake put Bere infront when he scrabbled on a loose ball and with the keeper only having one hand on the ball, Westlake kicked it out of his hands and into the net.

Doyle made it 2-0 with a fantastic solo effort dribbling the ball past four players in the box to slot the ball home.

Bere started the 2nd half as they finished the first with plenty of possession and the wind behind them and were playing some great football. Westlake set up Robins to make it 3-0 with a cross from the left leaving Robins with an easy header.  Westlake finished the scoring to make it a comfortable win for Bere and confirm there place in Duchy one next season.

n In the East Cornwall premier Bere Alston first team lost 3-4 to Bodmin Town Reserves.
