VOTER registration forms will soon be dropping through letterboxes across West Devon and residents are being urged to return theirs as soon as possible to make their voice heard in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections to be held on November 15.
The West Devon Borough Council election office will be compiling the register of electors early this year as voters need to have their say at the ballot box on who is appointed to oversee the police. The register will be published on October 16 instead of December 1. Forms will be sent to all households in West Devon within the next couple of weeks.
West Devon electoral services officer Carrisa Allen said: 'Canvass forms have been sent by the borough council to almost 25,000 households and they contain details of everyone currently included on the electoral register for each address.
'The form will have to be returned by post if you need to make any amendments, such as adding or removing names.
'If your details are unchanged, or you wish to opt out or request an absent vote application form, you can register quickly and simply online or by free phone.'
