FREE computer awareness sessions in South Tawton will help people with limited knowledge of computers.

The two sessions are aimed at people who do not currently use computers, but want to know more about them. They are also for those who are new to computing and would like to know more.

Part one will look at what is the operating system, what is software and hardware, popular software applications and what people need to get started.

It will also look at going online safely, what is social networking, how to manage emails better and reduce unwanted advertising emails and spam, how to use online banking safely and online shopping.

Part two will cover buying a computer, how to protect digital data, what is involved in getting an internet connection and how to manage more than one computer in the home.

The sessions will be on Thursday, June 17 from 2.30pm until 5pm and Friday, July 2 from 7pm until 9.30pm in South Tawton Church House. Friday 2nd July 2 from 7pm to 9.30pm. Anyone interested in attending can phone 01837 840709.
