St Teath 2
Chillaton B 1
FOLLOWING a disappointing string of results Chillaton got their act together with a good performance at St Teath, the result not reflecting the balance of play.
In the first half they pressed forward continuously and only a combination of hard luck and poor finishing prevented Simon Thyer scoring a hat-trick.
The defence looked solid with manager Mike Booth and Tony Jones both returning after injury and to end the first half two goals down was a poor reward for their efforts.
The second half saw more good chances created and squandered with Andy Faulkner, Jimmy Cole and Richard Howell all coming close.
The Yellows pulled a goal back when Andy Bartlett converted a penalty after Cole had been brought down, but the equaliser proved elusive.
