BARING all at the Bearslake are a group of regulars at the Sourton pub who have stripped off for the latest naked charity calendar.
?The Bareslake Boys? captures a number of the locals from the Bearslake Inn at Sourton in some revealing situations.
Before time is called on the naked calendar phenomenon, ten volunteers from the Bearslake decided to do their bit in aid of Devon Air Ambulance.
Landlord Phil Acton said the idea originated with regular John Haley, from Bridestowe, who called in to the pub one night after seeing recent hit British film Calendar Girls.
The film, starring Julie Walters and Helen Mirren, tells the real-life story of the members of a Women?s Institute group in Yorkshire who posed nude for a charity calendar.
That evening, the idea of a Bearslake Inn calendar was spawned and from there it was just a case of finding enough volunteers willing to take part for this good cause.
The photographs were taken around the pub by Northlew photographer Blair Scobie, who gave his time and produced the pictures free of charge.
Phil said Devon Air Ambulance had been the chosen charity for a number of previous fundraising events at the Bearslake, so everyone was keen to continue supporting it.
?We?ve had a good response so far, and we will be selling copies well into the New Year,? he said.
Copies of the calendar are available from the pub itself and are priced at £5.
