BOOK lovers looking for a bargain, or a long-lost book, are invited to the TASS 'Bargain Book Sale' on Saturday, March 22.

The sale will take place at the Anchorage Centre in Tavistock, between 9.30am and 4pm.

Friends of Tass spokesperson Bryan Podmore said: 'This year has been a record-breaker for donated books, so the bumper book sale is our opportunity to recycle many of them back into the community. We have books on all sorts of subjects, from children's to adult's, from comedy to text books, from travel to DIY, as well as a full range of novels, and to help we will be selling all of the books at half the marked price.'

This year there will be a display of a large number of antiquarian and collectable books, including many on local history.

All proceeds of the sale will go to assist TASS to continue to run its many services in Tavistock and the surrounding area helping the elderly, the isolated and people with mobility problems.

Admission is free and there will be refreshments available on the day.
