LLOYDS TSB Business is to boost its support for local small businesses by expanding its team of business managers and appointing new senior business managers to cover the Tavistock and Okehampton areas. The move will see an enhanced service for small businesses, where firms will be able to access free support and expert advice. In the Tavistock area, Peter Blakesley will lead a team of ten experienced business managers, who will fulfil the bank?s new strategy of enabling every small business customer to see a business banker locally, face-to-face and free of charge. In the Okehampton area, Viv Hignell will lead a similar team of eleven. The appointments come as part of the bank?s overall plan to appoint around 300 new locally based business managers in more than 500 business banking centres nationwide. Peter Blakesley has been with Lloyds TSB for 28 years with 15 years spent in business banking. He has extensive knowledge of the issues and opportunities facing small businesses in this region. Viv Hignell has been with Lloyds TSB for 30 years and has spent the last 12 years living and working in the area.
