Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 2 cup second round Queen?s Rangers 0 Lamerton 3 LAMERTON returned to winning ways with a good performance against an improved Rangers. They made the worst possible start, being down to ten men in the second minute, but the rest of the team upped the work rate to achieve what was in the end a comfortable win. They went in front after ten minutes when Paul Cowling put Zac Beesley clear to guide the ball over the head of the visiting keeper and into the net. Graham Cole hit the post from a free kick but the score remained 1-0 at half-time. The second half saw Lamerton dominate with Cowling hitting the post and having a goal ruled marginally offside before Dave Byworth smashed in a second from a Steve Gibbings cross. The final goal came when Steve Wickett put Dan Healy through and he beat the keeper. Healy worked tirelessly in midfield well supported in the second half by Cole pushing forward and Lee Wickett dropping back to fill the void. For Queen?s, the keeper had a great game saving from point-blank range from Gibbings and Lee Wickett. This Saturday home to St Stephen?s Borough in the league. Kick-off 2.30pm.
