RESIDENTS of Venn House in Lamerton and their families and friends donned war-time outfits to enjoy a 1940s day recently.
The whole day was dedicated to everything 1940s with a marquee where a singer sang songs of the time and people danced the day away.
House manager Neil McCalley said: ‘We had a big marquee and all the residents and lots of their families and friends came along. It was an excellent event and everybody really enjoyed themselves. The event was organised by Marie Porter, a member of the care staff, who did a really excellent job. We are looking to make it an annual event.’
