Year 5 pupils from Kelly College Preparatory School recently visited 'Torrington 1646' as part of their studies of the Stuart period and the English Civil War. 

On a sunny day they were able to walk around the town to see where the battle had taken place, experience pike drill and the stocks in the garden, learn about the use of herbs, try on armour and watch musket balls being made.
