A STUDENT from Tavistock scooped two awards at Plymouth College of Further Education?s annual awards ceremony recently. Bethany Rowley, 19, collected the awards for achievement in A-level studies and art, in recognition of her work while at the college. She showed great determination to achieve excellent A level results ? A grades in art, English and government and politics ? despite being seriously affected by glandular fever. Bethany is currently taking a gap year and doing voluntary work at Swansea University. After her year out she is considering taking a degree in either fine arts or government and politics. Bethany is pictured receiving her award from guest of honour, Maria Hammett, general manager of Brittany Ferries.
