A WEST Devon environmental charity has won one of this year's charity awards.

The West Devon Environmental Network received a training bursary of £2,500 and a specially-designed glass trophy.

WestDEN director Oz Osborne went to London to collect the award in the Animals and Environment category.

The awards are designed to provide a focus for improved management across the whole of the voluntary sector, said one of the awards' sponsors, and attracted a large entry with very high standards.
