A TAVISTOCK police officer who battled to save an unconscious man for 20 minutes was honoured at an awards ceremony in Truro last week.
PC Simon Dell, who is based at Callington, performed mouth to mouth resuscitation until emergency services arrived at the incident in Gunnislake — the man later made a full recovery.
PC Dell, who is also an MBE, received the Royal Humane Society's Resuscitation Certificate. He was previously a community constable in Tavistock.
