A TAVISTOCK woman is celebrating success in an international competition for communications professionals.

Ann Keelan has been recognised with an award of merit in the 2003 Dalton Pen Communications Awards, for her work on a specially-created website.

Ann said: ?Until recently I was working on a major corporate project at GlaxoSmithKline. I was liaising with managers in over 150 countries so it was important to communicate some very complex issues and decisions in plain English.

?I created a project website that gave them all the reference materials and progress reports in a clear format, which they could use to plan the timing of their legal changes and manufacturing updates. It was very well received.?

The competition judges obviously agreed, placing Ann?s website in second place behind soft drinks giant PepsiCo.

?It?s always great to get positive feedback from users of a website, but to win a professional award is a terrific compliment,? said Ann.
