Ilfracombe U13s 3
Okehampton Argyle U13s 2
ILFRACOMBE snatched an early lead against the run of play but Okehampton looked positive.
Strikers Chris Holland and Wayne Atherton received good through balls from Ashley Clark, Alex Osman and Carl Poynton but kept being denied by the dominant Ilfracombe keeper.
Finally, Atherton side-stepped the keeper and casually rolled the ball in to make it 1-1.
Okehampton went behind again but Poynton's long shots looked deadly, twice hitting the woodwork.
Centre-back Joe Turner ran from his position, beating two players, to shoot for the equaliser.
After conceding another, Okehampton switched more players into attack to try and salvage a justified draw, but it was not to be.
Men of the match: Joe Turner, Carl Poynton.
