A HOLLY auction held by Bridestowe, Sourton and Lydford Pre-School last Saturday raised a whopping £1,290 which will be put towards its new premises. The Fox and Hounds Hotel at Bridestowe was the venue for the event which was well supported. Committee members have expressed thanks to local businesses, shops and parents who supported the event and everyone who put their hands in their pockets to buy the various lots. At the moment the pre-school is meeting in a temporary building at the cricket club, having had to vacate the school which needed extra space. Its new premises will be incorporated into the new village hall which is currently under construction. It is hoped the group will be in its new home by the beginning of the new year.
