TAVISTOCK Men?s Hockey A side deservedly won this league match.

The introduction of the experienced Nick Andrews into the forwards gave Tavistock too many attacking options for Ashmoor to deal with.

Andrews opened the scoring after ten minutes of constructive passing moves by Tavistock.

Adam Holland was next to score, finishing off a well planned short-corner routine.

Tavistock?s third came just after half-time, when the veteran Andy Townsend finished a swift passage of attacking play.

Hard-working Jason Read added Tavistock?s fourth with a powerful strike from another penalty corner.

Tavistock?s dominance of the match was disrupted 15 minutes from time when injuries to Read and Gareth George coincided with the influential Cowen taking his turn on the bench.

Ashmoor immediately scored from a penalty corner, but the four-goal lead was re-established by an excellent strike from Olly Frost.

Ashmoor regained some pride by scoring their second, again from a penalty corner, with the final touch of the match
