Bodmin 0 Tavistock ?A? 3 TAVISTOCK ?A? Hockey team were looking to capitalise on their win from the previous week. Cooley decided not to play the sweeper system but to play with a stronger midfield. This proved to be a good move as Tavistock dominated the centre of the pitch. J Reed had more options available to him and was supported by Barrat Jnr and Cooley Jnr. Although the home side played well they where unable to prevent a series of short corners. Reed took advantage of this and struck the ball into the Bodmin goal, and it was not long before the second goal was scored by Mackintosh after Wood had crossed the ball into the D. Tavistock?s third was scored by Reed from another well worked short corner. M Osborne in goal for Tavistock had a good game and on more than one occasion prevented the Bodmin forwards from scoring. Rodda and Cowan Snr played good defensive roles, and were very disciplined in the jobs they had to do. Throughout the game Tavistock controlled how the match was to be played and towards the end of the second half the midfield and forwards had countless attacks on the Bodmin goal but unfortunately where unable to add to their tally. Overall this was a good team performance from Tavistock who, this week, travel to Torbay looking for another win before the Christmas break to keep the pressure on the top teams in the League.
