PRINCETOWN will see a fantastic finale of fine arts and crafts as the Nutmeg Exhibition performs its swan-song this week.

The well-loved craft exhibition is bowing out after many years as one of Princetown?s most popular annual events.

This year?s exhibition begins on Saturday and features a special display of woodturning and needlework samplers as well as some spectacular artwork from Not-the-Turner-Prize finalist Alan Kingwell, among others.

Organiser Audrey Viney said: ?We are very proud of Alan ? he was voted one of the top fifty artists in the country producing things you?d actually want to hang in your living room!

?We?ve also got an absolutely stunning display of quilts produced by our guest quilters, Westbridge, of Okehampton.

?It?s their first exhibition but their work is tremendous.?

The exhibition is once again being held at Princetown Primary School which is stacked out with all manner of interesting artefacts, and can be visited any day between August 7 and 15, between 10am and 4pm.

Entry costs £2, which covers overheads and provides a donation to the primary school.
