So wot's going on 'ere then? It's a book signing by police officer Simon Dell on Saturday, that's wot.
Simon, who lives in Tavistock but is based in Callington as a patrol officer, will be signing copies of 'Policing the Peninsula (1850-2000)' in Bookstop on Saturday between 10am and noon.
The book is a photographic celebration of West Country policing over the past century-and-a-half compiled by himself. It took three years to put together and acts as an evocative visual record of the development of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.
There are 253 pictures in the book. Simon received many pictures of the West Country from all over the country sent by retired officers and relatives.
