NEWLY promoted Falmouth came out fast and strong and opened the scoring within the first ten minutes of the game. The home side had to tighten their grip and were soon putting together some good passing moves.

Tavistock's Jo Gaspar frequently found herself free up front but was unable to capitalise on these opportunities. It was not long before Tavistock equalized with a goal from a penalty corner. Laura Armstrong struck the ball at goal and Laura Stapleton was on the post to slot the ball pass the keeper. Falmouth continued to pressure Tavistock exposing Tavistock's weak link between midfield and defence.

However the defence saw off these attacks with Elz Mill-Hicks having an excellent game in goal. Armstrong made it 2-1 to Tavistock with a goal from a penalty corner. Kate Eadie had a good game on the right wing,

The second half saw more end to end play with both sides make their opposing defence work hard. The home side were awarded a penalty flick which Armstrong converted for her hat-trick. The home side continued to put together good attacking play and following some excellent linking play between Georgina Killingbeck and Gaspar; it was Gaspar who was rewarded when she put the ball pass the goalie. In the closing minutes Falmouth pulled back a goal from close range.
