OKEHAMPTON Argyle FC kick off their season this Saturday with a tough friendly against Western League Premier Division outfit Wellington Town, kick-off 3pm. Last season, the Somerset side finished in a comfortable mid-table position in their division, which is ranked two steps above Argyle's league by the Football Association.

Other friendlies are as follows with the South West Peninsula League season starting on Saturday, August 21: Saturday, July 31, Appledore, away, 3pm; Tuesday, August 10, Crediton United, away, 7.30pm; Saturday, August 14, Alphington, home, 3pm. Argyle Reserves play in the Moore Trophy semi-final at Holsworthy on Monday, July 26, against Morwenstow from the East Cornwall Premier League, kick-off 7.30pm. Further second and third team friendlies will be announced when known.
