GUNPOWDER making, deserted medieval settlement and life and death on prehistoric Dartmoor are just some of the things one can discover at this years Festival of British Archaeology, which runs from July 14 to 28.
The Festival, in its 22nd year, will showcase the very best of British archaeology, giving you the opportunity to learn about your local heritage and see archaeology in action, with professional archaeologists in attendance from Dartmoor National Park Authority,.
Join a 2 hour guided walk this Saturday to discover more about the archaeology in the Fernworthy area of Dartmoor, where there will be an opportunity to look at Grey Wethers stone circles, and on July 21 July there is a three hour walk to discover more about the history of gunpowder making on Dartmoor.
