APPRENTICES were given recognition for their achievements recently at the fourth Moorskills Farming Presentation evening.

The presentation evening, held at Okehampton Rugby Club, saw 60 people join the apprentices to celebrate their successful completion of the Moorskills course.

The awards for achievement at level two were presented to Ben Luxton, Ian Heard, William Heard and Rowan Colton.

Sam Bullingham, Tom Friend, Darcy Heard, Mark Druett and David Gibbings received awards for successfully completing level three.

Phil Heard, chairman of Moorskills, expressed thanks to everyone involved in the apprenticeship scheme, saying it was a great testament to the commitment of the farmers that the young men had all achieved the awards successfully.

All the apprentices are working on Dartmoor, apart from Ian Heard who is on a farm in Cumbria.
