APPRENTICES and farmers are being sought to help continue the success of a Dartmoor Farming Apprenticeship scheme. A spokesperson for the Duchy College said that following the success of its last intake of students, it was looking for between eight and ten young people over 16 years old to undertake an apprenticeship. The applicants should be practically minded and interested in farming on Dartmoor. The apprenticeship will run for 14 months and include working for an NVQ2 in livestock production. Prospective students should contact Liz Clarkson at the college on 01579 372345 quoting Moorskills. Interested farmers should contact Sandra Dodd at the High Moorland Business Centre on 01626 836013.
