THE last apple pressing event of the season for the Tamar and Tavy Apple Group will take place this Saturday (October 20) between 10am and 2.30pm at Scrubtor near Horsebridge.

There will also be pasties and hot drinks available and all monies raised will go to the Plymouth Deaf Children's Society.

Anyone bringing apples to be juiced should bring containers as well. For more information contact 01822 834260.

l Tamar Grow Local and the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team have joined forces to share an apple press with the community, at the Tamar Valley Centre, near Gunnislake, between 10am and 3pm this Saturday. All are welcome to this free event.?There is no need to book, unless you are planning to bring lots of apples. Refreshments will be provided by Harrowbarrow and Metherell Community Orchard Group. Donations would be welcome.
