THE committee and members of the Bere Alston branch of the Royal British Legion would like to thank all those people on the Bere Peninsula for all their support throughout the year, also for their kind generosity in helping us to raise over £1,500 for the Poppy Appeal. We would like to say thank you to all the collectors who give up their time and go round in all kinds of weather. Without them the task would be impossible. Each year, thousands of people, ex service men/women and their dependents, benefit from the Poppy Appeal. All the time that there continue to be conflicts around the world and our servicemen/women are there, to keep the peace at all costs, then the Poppy Appeal will be there to support them, in their time of need.
