POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in a restaurant in the town.
At around 11pm on Sunday, August 25, three customers in the Ganges Restaurant in West Street were believed to have been assaulted both physically and verbally while inside the premises.
The victims, a man and two women, suffered significant verbal abuse and were then subsequently physically assaulted by another man.
Police believe other people would have witnessed the incident at the time and are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the restaurant or nearby on West Street.
