POLICE are investigating incidents of sheep worrying around Foggintor Quarry and King Tor, near Princetown.

Several sheep were seen to be attacked by dogs on Saturday May 8 between 2pm and 3pm, with at least one sheep subsequently found dead. Police believe that several people were in the vicinity at the time of some of these attacks and officers are trying to identify one person in particular who may be able to assist in the enquiries.

The person police would like to speak to has been described as male and probably in his late 40s. He is a large man, six feet or more tall and stockily built with a straight, pronounced nose. He has short, slicked back hair and was wearing a distinctive, tweed-style jacket. The man is thought to be local and walks a black spaniel and a chocolate labrador.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO Rob Walsh at Tavistock Police Station on Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
