POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for witnesses after a carrier bag containing a pair of trainers and a wallet was stolen in the town centre last week. PC Nick Burnett said the bag was on the ground by the benches in Bedford Square when it was snatched between 1pm and 1.15pm on Wednesday January 5. Two young males were seen to take the bag, said PC Burnett. Anyone with any information should call PC Burnett at Tavistock Police Station, quoting crime ref JT 05-25.
