AS this game progressed the wind increased and made things difficult for flowing football.

Steve Daymond was unlucky as his shot was part saved and the wind stopped the ball from crossing the line.

Mark Wheeler hit a 25-yard screamer that hit the crossbar, bounced down and again the wind kept the ball out.

Bere kept to their task and finally Ross Hann fired home after excellent approach work left him in the box to score. Bere increased their lead with Steve Daymond scoring from a couple of yards, reacting quickest to the loose ball.

With the wind behind them Bere piled forward and many passes ran away in the gale force wind.

But Bere scored again, St Cleer?s keeper made an excellent save from Daymond and Hawkins followed up to score.

League leaders St Cleer rallied but good defending kept the scoreline blank.
