A WEST Devon older person's support charity is appealing to people looking for a new challenge in 2013 to volunteer to make a difference to older people's lives.

Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) is looking for people who can spare a few hours a week, fortnight or a month to volunteer with the charity.

TASS is looking for volunteers to drive minibuses or take a person to an appointment, become a befriender or someone to help with shopping and collecting prescriptions, help at one of the nine village centres, help at the Anchorage Centre, help with fundraising or help with computer skills.

All the activities and transport are delivered by a core of volunteers, and with new activities and services being introduced and more trips being offered, the charity needs more volunteers to deliver the services.

To find out more about the wide range of activities that are available at the Anchorage Centre or how to volunteer, visit the centre next to Tavistock Bus Station or call 01822 616958 or 01822 617525 or visit http://www.tasstavistock.org.uk">www.tasstavistock.org.uk
