AN appeal was this week issued to residents in the Tavistock area who may have unwanted books or bric-a-brac they would be willing to donate to a good cause.
The town?s Rotary Club is again running a stall at Goose Fair in October and would like to hear from anyone who could offer goods to sell.
Rotary member Tony Whitehead said: ?The money raised will contribute towards a number of charitable causes that the club will be raising funds for this year.
?During our previous year, a dinner for senior citizens was held in May, a worthwhile contribution was made to Polio Plus, the organisation dedicated to eradicating Polio throughout the world by 2005, and a number of local organisations and students were helped with donations towards fund raising efforts.?
