THE Mid Devon Pony Club had a very successful weekend at the Silverton?s Tetrathlon, with the Junior Girls team of Charlotte Rowe, Lucy Almond, Jessica Mortimore and Rosa Malseed maintaining their winning streak by winning their class. Charlotte achieved the best shoot, best swim and best run in the class, and was therefore the worthy individual winner of the class. Lottie Trerise competed in the class as an individual and were it not for jumping the wrong fence on the cross-country, she, too would have been in the ribbons. It was a weekend when a lot of ?personal bests? were achieved, with all five of the junior girls achieving a pb in at least one discipline, and Jessica managing a hat trick with pbs in her shoot, run and swim. In the Junior boys class, William Leech was narrowly beaten into second place in a very strong class. Second place also went to Edward Almond in the novice Minis class, thanks to a pb in all four phases of the competition. Henry Wells came tenth in the class of nearly 40 8 and 9 year old Minis, and achieved a pb in his swim and run, as well as an excellent clear round ? all the more creditable as it was the first time he has ridden cross-country off the lead-rein.
