THE annual spring concert by Okehampton Choral Society takes place at Fairplace Church on Saturday, April 30 at 7.30pm.

The concert, entitled Gloria, will be full of thrilling music including Haydn's Organ Concerto, Parry's I Was Glad, and the joyful Nelson Mass.

The four visiting soloists are soprano Christine Marsden, mezzo-soprano Rebecca Smith, tenor Leslie Baker and bass David Fouracre.

The Ockment Chamber Orchestra of more than 20 visiting professional players, led by Paul Matthews and conducted by John Holland, will accompany the choir.

Tickets cost £7, £3 for students. They can be purchased from the Beanfeast in The Arcade, or directly from choir members.
